Dear Metro Bank Customers

The foundation of our business is the relationship we have with you, our customers. In these trying times, that priority has not changed as we all attempt to address this global health crisis impacting every aspect of daily life. This moment in time is difficult but hopefully temporary. Following guidelines of the CDC, the World Health Organization and State and Local Health Authorities, we will continue to conduct the business of banking, but with a focus on public health. We intend to remain open for business with an eye on being able to create safe interactions for all and with as little disruption as possible. Here are a few temporary adjustments we are making:

• Effective Thursday, March 19, we will be transitioning our branch operations to drive-thru only and lobby by appointment. Our intent is to ensure the safety and health of our employees and customers.

• We are confident our drive-thru lanes will be able to conduct any business that can be conducted in our lobbies.

• Our ATMs will continue to operate plus online and mobile banking applications are available at any time for your banking needs.

• We are confident our drive-thru lanes will be able to conduct any business that can be conducted in our lobbies.

• Branch business will be available by appointment ONLY to conduct any banking business that cannot be done through other channels. This includes access to safe deposit boxes. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with your specific needs.

Dear Metro Bank Customers

The health and safety of the Metro Bank family is of the highest importance to us and we are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our employees, our customers and the communities they serve. As you are aware, there is growing concern regarding COVID-19 which is caused by a new coronavirus. As of this moment, tere are no confirmed cases in Alabama, but the number of cases continues to grow worldwide. While there are many “unknowns” with this virus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has identified it as a potential public health threat within the United States. The most important thing we can do as a community is to be informed and remain calm. With that in mind, we are taking the following additional health and safety precautions and recommending precautions for individuals as well.

Metro Bank health and safety precautions:

• In addition to our regular, daily cleaning, our cleaning companies will now disinfect and disinfect and sanitize each branch for the foreseeable future.

• We are cleaning and sanitizing high traffic areas and workstations on a continual basis throughout each business day.

Health and safety precautions for individuals:

• Wash hands often throughout the day (for at least 20 seconds each time).

• Use alcohol-based (greater than 60%) hand sanitizer several times a day.

• Limit handshakes and hugs. People will understand during this time.

• Cough into your bent elbow rather than hands.

• Use disinfectant wipes to clean and disinfect objects and surfaces such as cell phones, doorknobs, handles and stair railings.

• Resist the urge to overstock on food and other items, such as masks, sanitizers and even toilet paper. Make sure you are good stewards of limited supplies and remember that others may need these items more than you do.

• Seek medical care quickly if you suspect you have contracted the virus.

• STAY HOME if you are sick.

• Visit the CDC website at for up-to-date information about the virus.

We want to make sure you have access to all the financial services we offer regardless of how this virus progresses. While we do not anticipate any branch closures at this time, you can access your accounts and services without needing to visit a branch by using our online banking or mobile banking app, or by calling our Customer Service staff at 205-884-6200. If you have not done so, this is an excellent time to get access to each of these channels and to set up automated services such as direct deposit, bill pay, and others.

Again, following the listed precautions is the most important thing you can do to protect yourself and your loved ones. We are closely following guidance from the CDC and state and local public health authorities in the areas we serve related to the spread of COVID-19. We will continue monitoring the situation and will communicate further information with you as needed. In the meantime, we are praying for everyone who has been impacted by this virus and we will continue to pray for the health and safety of everyone in our Metro Bank family.
